At the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, we recognize the growing need for accessible, high-quality veterinary care in our community. Starting Monday, March 3rd, 2025, our Walk-In Clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm This change allows us to accommodate more pets, ensuring they receive the essential care they need without long wait times or financial barriers.
Why This Matters
Pet overpopulation remains a serious issue, and ensuring pets receive preventive care — such as vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgeries — is key to reducing the number of homeless animals. Each year, thousands of pets enter shelters, many simply because their owners lack access to affordable veterinary services.
Our Veterinary Care Center is committed to breaking this cycle by providing affordable wellness exams, vaccines, testing, and spay/neuter surgeries. By expanding our Walk-In Clinic hours, we can reach more pet owners, making it easier for them to access care that keeps their pets healthy and safe.
Financial Assistance Programs
We believe that no pet should go without veterinary care due to financial hardship. That’s why we offer financial assistance programs to help pet owners afford essential services:
Pets for the Elderly Foundation Partnership
Senior pet owners aged 60 or older can receive financial assistance to help cover the cost of their pet’s veterinary care through our partnership with the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. This program ensures that seniors on a fixed income can continue providing their beloved pets with the care they deserve.
Vets for Vets Fund
Our Vets for Vets Fund was created to bridge the financial gap for veterans who need help covering their pet’s veterinary bills. We are proud to support the brave men and women who have served our country by making it easier for them to care for their companion animals.
For more information about these programs or to see if you qualify, contact [email protected] or call 803-648-6864.
Comprehensive & Affordable Care
Beyond spay/neuter services, our Walk-In Clinic provides a range of essential veterinary care, including:
- Wellness exams to monitor overall health
- Vaccines & parasite prevention to protect against diseases
- Microchipping & testing for added safety and early disease detection
Expanding our Walk-In Clinic hours means pet owners can now access these critical services five days a week, helping to keep their companions healthy while preventing unnecessary shelter surrenders.
