The Aiken Dog Park, established in 2009 by the City of Aiken and the Aiken SPCA, is operated and maintained by the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare and located right next door. A $50 annual membership, per dog, is required to help offset the expenses of maintaining the park incurred by the SPCA Albrecht Center, a nonprofit organization.
The Park is serviced daily and members and their pets can enjoy a clean, maintained lawn, dog pool, separate small dog park and picnic tables (no food allowed.)
The dog park is open from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. The park area covers 2+ acres and is divided into two areas. One area is for dogs under 30 lbs, while the other is open to dogs of all sizes, and features a splash pool for your dog’s enjoyment. Three pavilions were also donated to provide shelter on rainy days. Water fountains for dogs and humans are available too.
Pets must be altered (spayed or neutered) and up-to-date on vaccinations. Veterinary records will be required at the time of sign up.
At this time, we do not offer prorated membership rates as the entrance to the Dog Park operates with a members-only code that is changed once a year at the start of the year. This is the only way we can currently manage the members entering the park for the safety of you and your pets.
