The SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare operates a boutique Thrift Store in the Mitchell Plaza in Aiken, SC that offers everything from pet care items and clothing, to jewelry, furniture and more. 100% of the revenue from every sale at the Thrift Store goes to the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare to help feed, treat, shelter and and find loving homes for the animals in our care.

Employees may decline a donation if, in their judgment, it is not clean, or in salable condition or if they are unable to assist with larger items due to risk of injury.

  • Copiers (Large standing)
  • Empty Condiment Jar

  • Flammable liquids/gasses (lamp oil, gasoline,propane,kerosene,sterno,butane,etc)
  • Food
  • Furniture in unsellable or damaged/broken condition
  • Halogen lamps without Mesh Guard
  • Hazardous Waste (batteries,paints,fuels,solvents,oils or equipment containing these)
  • Household or Industrial Chemicals
  • Humidifiers
  • Manufacturer recalled consumer items or items that do not meet current safety standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • Mattresses – UNLESS they are new wrapped in plastic or part of a bed frame set in good condition
  • Medical Devices of any type and hospital beds
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Pianos and Organs
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Swing Sets
  • Takeout Containers

  • Venetian Blinds, used
  • Wall to Wall carpeting
  • Unframed Glass or Mirrors
  • Unsellable/Damaged/Broken items of any kind

  • Because of animal health, we can not take any of the following items unless they are new and in original wrappings:

    • NO USED CAT SCRATCHING POST OR ITEMS
