Since their doors opened in the mid-80s, the SPCA Thrift Store has been the definition of shopping with a purpose. The store’s journey began as a haven where locals could discover incredible deals while making a meaningful impact on the lives of homeless shelter animals at the SPCA. Despite several relocations over the years, the store’s mission has remained the same: to serve as the premier destination “Where Shopping Saves Lives!”
In 2019, the store found its residence in the Mitchell Shopping Center, and ever since, the community’s response to this boutique-style thrift store has been nothing short of extraordinary. Despite its relocations over the years, the store’s mission has remained the same: to serve as the premier destination “Where Shopping Saves Lives!”. But that’s more than just a slogan for us. The proceeds generated from this thrift store are funneled directly back into providing care, treatment, and shelter for all of the animals housed at the Albrecht Center shelter.
As the shelter continues to grapple with operating well beyond the capacity for dogs and cats, the need for community assistance and support has never been more crucial. While the need for adopters or foster families remains high, we understand that taking on the responsibility of a new fur-child is something that can be hard for many. For those unable to do so, the SPCA Thrift Store offers an alternative avenue to make a significant and direct impact.
And we have the perfect opportunity for you to do just that at this spring’s semi-annual thrift store party. So get ready to dust off your cowboy boots and join us for an unforgettable evening at the SPCA Thrift Store Party: The Canine Corral on April 22nd! This exciting event promises a boot-scootin’ good time filled with fantastic finds, delicious treats, and plenty of fun.
As we prepare to unveil our new seasonal merchandise, guests can expect to browse a wide selection of treasures at the SPCA Thrift Store. From stylish clothing to unique home decor, there’s something for everyone to discover. Whether you’re on the hunt for vintage gems or modern must-haves, our thrift store has it all.
In addition to the shopping experience, guests will be treated to complimentary appetizers and cocktails, courtesy of our generous sponsors. Sip on a refreshing drink as you peruse the aisles, and indulge in tasty bites to keep your energy up while you shop. It’s the perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow animal lovers and enjoy a night out for a good cause.
Advance tickets for the SPCA Thrift Store Party are available for just $10 and can be purchased at the SPCA Thrift Store or the SPCA Albrecht Center. Not only do these tickets grant you access to the event, but they also serve as a 10% off coupon for your thrift store purchases—a win-win for all! Tickets will also be available at the door for those that would prefer to purchase same day tickets.
