Remember how much fun slumber parties with your friends used to be? Staying up late, eating junk food, playing silly games, and watching your favorite movies together? Now imagine all of that, but with your favorite shelter animals.
For the first time, the SPCA Albrecht Center is hosting an event that promises to be an unforgettable night, The Shelter Slumber Pawty. This event is a national fundraiser that began in 2017, with more than 50 shelters participating together. But this isn’t just another fundraiser; it’s a transformative experience that brings together animal lovers from all walks of life. It’s an opportunity to step into the paws of our beloved shelter pets and spend 24 hours immersed in their world.

Beyond the fun and games, the Shelter Slumber Pawty is an effort to shed light on a pressing issue – the ongoing crisis of overcrowding in shelters across the country. With each passing day, more animals find themselves in need, and we strive to provide them with the care and compassion they deserve. And let me tell you, the impact of this event goes far beyond just one night; we’re also spreading awareness about adoption and responsible pet ownership throughout our community.
